I thought I'd share some of my favorite online fashion sources. I used to love to shop. Ok, I still love to shop but it's a lot more work these days. Namely because of rising prices and plummeting necklines. Was it always this bad or am I just more aware and conscious of what I wear as nowadays as my children's mother?
In any case, what used to be a fun day at the shops hunting for the perfect dress for a wedding, graduation or baptism has somehow transformed into a frustrating day of trying on dresses that are too tight, too low or too high in all the wrong places.
Along the way I've found several different shops that help make things a lot easier for me.
I get so disappointed when I spot the perfect skirt only to find out that it is 3 inches too short once I get it on. However, these underskirts from Vintage Hem turn a too short dress/skirt a feminine ensemble.
Kay Unger also has a fabulous collection of dresses. You can use their site to locate a store in your area. They carry both everyday and special occasion wear.
I also really like the outfits from Sweet Innocence Dresses. Their dresses are perfect for special occasions.
They don't have many everyday items but their sister store Divine Modestee has a lot of important basics. I like their Daily Under tees and their Bell Sleeve N-neck tees. And I certainly can't overlook one of my absolute favorites--Shabby Apple. They have a lot of great dresses, shoes and accessories. Their collections include Mama Apple (maternity) and an adorable collection for girls which includes several styles to match their women's line. I think it's adorable when the little girls and their mama's match!
I love this Jackie O dress...

Over at A Purse Full of Cheerios I'll be posting a coupon code offering readers an exclusive 15% discount for the month of July!

Thanks for sharing these links. It's becoming so difficult to find modest and feminine clothing.
Awesome resources, thanks for sharing! I agree with Katherine (and you), very difficult to find anything that is modest AND fashionable and feminine! I've already bookmarked them all!
love the links - I just ordered that Jackie O dress! I will say I had amazing luck this year at TJ Maxx and Marshalls finding fun, fresh dresses that had sleeves, decent length and chest coverage - all for less than $20 each. And I love the slips - sort of the adult version of the skirty!
So happy that you ladies enjoyed the links! It is definitely becoming more difficult finding modest clothing without the frump factor. Especially at good prices.
Don't forget to use coupon code apursefullofcheerios15off to get 15% off at Shabby Apple this month!!
It is very difficut to find clothing that is not too "showy." I do a lot of my shopping at Marshalls and TJMaxx also.
