This is so beautiful. A facebook friend of mine posted this and it brought tears to my eyes. Watching the people react to the film and the expressions on the children face's while they watched churches being destroyed was so powerful. So many times we forget these things really happened. Especially, those of us who live in this country and have never encountered anything like this.
It's so encouraging to see Russia embracing her beloved Orthodox Faith. I wish this would happen all over the world! Especially in Orthodox countries like Greece where, sadly, people have forgotten their roots.

Thanks for sharing...this is amazing!!!
Bless you! Bless you! This is just what I needed to watch!
That's a great video and thank you for sharing with us.With all respect Greeks haven't forgotten their roots at all.God bless us all and let us burn in paradise, like a gerontas from the Holy mountain used to say.
Efi, I didn't mean Greeks in general, I meant Greece as a country. The last time I visited I was so sickened by the lack of love and respect by the average person for the Church. Thank God, there are still many pious people there, I'm not insinuating otherwise, just for an Orthodox country it should be so many more. And the recent current events concerning Geronda Ephraim of Vatopaidi is just heart-wrenching. :(
Sylvia, I really understand and part of what you saw is true.It is not only sad but scary too that people have forgotten God or worse have replaced him.My country is under so much pressure and people are challenged every day.God's willing we will survive like we did for so many centuries. If only I could show you the Greece I know.Media is doing a great job to keep us all "inform" about all the things that we need in order to totally forget faith, history, family and any other values we might had from our parents. You mentioned "roots" and that made me post the comment.Excuse my English and my passion about my country.
Dear Sylvia, i so much agree with you on what has changed Greece in the recent years but i cant also not agree with Efi when mentioning the "wonderful" work that the Media has done concerning our Church!!These people are surely not patriots nor Christians at all but of course it lies on each one of us to make the difference and change todays "reality"! Make changes starting from our own homes, our own families and friends! And maybe, just maybe then we could live in a better more ethical and MORE ORTHODOX country!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!! AND..
do get a glimpse on : www.rel.gr/photo
Oh Efi! I understand and my heart cries for the people of Greece! I'm American but I'm also Greek and I love my heritage! That's why it hurts me so much to see what has happened there. I pray every day for Greece to open her eyes once again! You said, "God willing we'll survive..." I am SURE you will survive, I truly believe that everything that is happening there is for that purpose, to bring Greece back to the Orthodox country it was. Your post made me cry because I can't imagine living there and watching these things happen every day. It is hard enough watching what happens from here! The media will always be the media but thank God for the few positive things (like the 60 minutes program on Agion Oros)! We'll take what we can get! I pray that Greece has a revival the way Russia has! You have a much better chance than we do in America, Orthodoxy is still the best kept secret here! Much love and prayer to you and all of "the motherland"!! xoxoxoxo
Anonymous, Absolutely agreed! Thank you for the link too!
Made my day. Thank you for the reminder...I sorta want to go visit now.
Thank you so much for posting this. It was very moving for me as well. How I would love to be there and see this wonderful exhibition! I also wish there was a subtitled version of this video. I'll have to ask a Russian friend to translate the various words in it. Thank you again for posting!!!
