Orthodox Kids

The Orthodox Children’s Pen Pal Program currently has over 500 children participating worldwide!  Details on how you can get your child, or Sunday School class, involved can be found here.  We partner the children up quarterly.  The next partner assignment will be in September/October.

Also, stay tuned for news about a new program called PB & J KIDS coming soon from Adventures of an Orthodox Mom!

  1. Hi,
I wasn’t sure how to email you privately, so I will just post here. I frequent your blog and it’s so inspiring. I was wondering…could you post a video clip or something of prayer time with the kids? We have a 5 year old and a 2 year old and sometimes it’s so frustrating to know how much to expect from them….maybe if we could see how other Orthodox children behave at prayer time at the icon corner, perhaps Jackson and Fiona would be more willing to participate without getting into trouble somehow. It’s very frustrating and it should be the most enlightening time of the day. Maybe it’s us that needs the work and not the kids. Maybe you could post tips or your prayer rules so that we have a guide?
    God Bless!!

    1. Danielle,

I’ll be emailing you privately in a minute! I will tell you this now though, I would love for you to see my three children at prayer time just so you’d see you’re not alone! 😀

  2. I don’t even understand how I ended up here, but I believed this submit was great. I don’t realize who you are but certainly you’re going to a famous blogger in the event you aren’t already. Cheers!

  3. Hello there,
I was wondering if you grew up in the Orthodox Church or if you joined when you were older? I am learning about the Church as my brother-in-law just joined the Church last year. We have grown up protestant, and are Christians who love Jesus, though we are finding such beauty in the Orthodox church.

What is the most beautiful thing about the Orthodox Church that continually draws you? Do you feel it lends to be close to Christ?

    Thank you kindly,

    1. Hi! Just wanted to say that my husband and I grew up Protestant and joined the Orthodox Church about six years ago. We are both so thankful for our upbringing, and LOVE the beauty, reverence, and rich symbolism in the Orthodox Church!
Just wanted you to know you’re not the only Protestant interested in the Orthodox Church, most of the families at our church converted from other backgrounds. 🙂
